Q. How do I send you my book?
A. After placing your order, you can send it to us as a attachment to an email. If your book is larger than 10mb, please contact us for alernative arrangements.
Q. What format should I send it in?
A. Any text or word processing format is fine. Most of our clients write the content in Microsoft Word and we are happy to work within this program. We can also accommodate for e-books in Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Indesign. The choice is yours.
Generally, we take your content and remove all existing formatting from the document and start from a clean slate. We will then create the new styles for headings, body content, tables etc.
Q. My e-book has graphics in it. Should I send them separately?
A. We can work with e-books that have graphics placed in them, however please do not embed them. If you would like to send them separately you are more than welcome. Please include details on where you would like the graphics placed.
Q. Do you give discounts?
A. Yes anyone submitting more than a single e-book will get a discount based on quantity.
Q. What happens with changes?
A. Corrections to errors that have been made by ourselves or small content alterations are included in our pricing. It is important that you submit to us final copy of your e-book to cut down the time involved in making alterations to the text.
We generally allow a good amount of customer alteration, but if there are excessive changes to your text (alterations to your content that are not our fault) there may be a charge for extra work involved.
Q. Do I get the newly designed working file back?
A. Other designers usually only provide the final pdf copy and charge you for the working file. At Blue Rain, the working file is supplied to you as part of your final package, and is included in the overall cost.
Q. Do I have to choose a package deal?
A. No, not at all. As well as offering our package deals, we offer customized e-book design solutions for everyone interested in publishing their e-books. You can pick and choose what service you need, so talk to us today and we can find the best solution for you!
Q. What happens after I buy an e-book design service?
A. Once we receive your order, we will contact you to ask questions on what sort of e-book or cover you would like (e.g. corporate, humor, fun etc) and any other questions that will ensure will supply you with the highest quality service we can provide. We will request that you send us your existing content and any examples you may have. The more information you can provide us, the quicker the process will be.
Q. How long will my book take?
A. Generally, it depends on the size of the e-book and our workload. However, with majority of our design work, we normally get a first draft back to the client within 2-3 working days. Upon commencement of the book design, we will notify you of how quickly we can get the book back to you. A rush service is available for an extra fee.
Q. Do you accept payment other than Paypal?
A. Yes we also accept direct deposit into our Bank account.
